EW is confirming director Adam McKay, the helmer behind Will Ferrel's comedy hit "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," is the front-runner to sit in the director's chair for Sony's "The Boys." Yes, this is the movie version of Garth Ennis' extreme violent comic book series about a super-powered CIA team who hunt down corrupted superheroes. And yes, this would be McKay's first foray into something other than comedy.
