Some dude posted this on instructables.com. And like MacGyver, he was able to create this LCD projector using simple household items like a cornflake box, pringles chip container and credit card sized magnifier. This takes DIY to a whole other level.

It's too bad Kevin Costner takes a lot of crap for his movies, because if he was some average Joe from California he'd be considered a hero.
This fake movie trailer entitled "Technotise Remake" actually got a couple of Hollywood producers a movie deal with Legendary Pictures to develop a live-action feature film based on the Serbian animated sci-fi film, "Technotise: Edit and I." Producer Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers hired Jaron Pitts, the man behind the popular fan-made trailer for "Green Lantern," to make a phony trailer for "Technotise." Using clips from "Resident Evil", "Minority Report," "Avatar" and other sci-fi movies, Pitts was able to create a trailer that gives viewers a sense of what a real "Technotise" movie would look like. And it worked. LA based production company, Legendary Pictures have given the movie pitch a thumbs up. Now, screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) will be writing the film's screenplay. Get the whole story here.

NBC's "Community" star Danny Pudi and HBO's "True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten has joined the cast of "The Knights of Badassdom," the horror comedy about "a group of LARPers (Live Action Role Players) who accidentally release an actual demon from the depths of hell." Steve Zahn and Peter Dinklage have also been signed to the film's cast. Written by Kevin Dreyfuss and Matt Wall, "Badassdom" will be directed by Joe Lynch, the director behind the horror DVD sequel, "Wrong Turn 2: Dead End" Production for the film starts in July.
